Rules For Admission:-
  • Admission To LKG Is Generally Announced In The SECOND WEEK OF JANUARY, FOUR YEARS as on 1st July Is The Age Of Admission In LKG. A Corresponding Scale Of Age Is Fixed For The Subsequent Classes.
  • A Student Joining The School For The First Time Must Produce A Satisfactory Evidence Of The Municipal Or Village Or Hospital Records Or A Baptismal Certificate. Date Of Birth Once Recorded Will Not Be Changed.
  • Generally, There Is NO Admission To Other Classes. However, Depending On Vacancies That May Arise, Opportunity May Be Provided To Eligible Candidates.
  • When A Student Is Admitted On A Transfer Certificate, He/She Shall Not Be Placed In Any Class Higher Than That For Which The Certificate Shows Him/Her To Be Qualified, Nor Will He/She Be Promoted Before The End Of A School Year.
  • A Student Who Does Not Complete The School Calendar Year Is Not Eligible For Promotion, Hence Admission Will Be Made Accordingly.
  • No Student Will Be Admitted Without A Transfer Certificate From The School Last Attended; And In No Case Shall A Student Be Permitted To Attend A Class Pending Formal Admission.
  • Only Students From Recognized English Medium Schools Will Be Considered For Admission.
  • The School Leaving Certificate Of A Student Joining From A School Outside Uttar Pradesh Must Be Countersigned By The Education Authorities Of The District In Which The Previous School Is Situated.
  • Class XI: Admission To Class XI Is Not Automatic For The Students Of Class X Of This School. It Will Depend On The Marks Obtained At The ICSE As Well As The Conduct Record Of The Student During The Years In The School.
  • Generally No Admissions Are Made To Class X & XII.
  • In Case Of Re-Admission After Withdrawal, Admission Fee Will Be Levied Again.
  • A Certain Number Of Seats Are Reserved For SC/ST Candidates.
  • The Principal Reserves The Right To Admit Or To Refuse Admission To Anybody Without Assigning Any Reason For His Action.
Rules For Withdrawal:-
  • Every Application For A School Leaving Certificate Shall Be Made In Writing By The Parents On The Prescribed Form.
  • A School Leaving Certificate Will Not Be Issued Until All The Fees Are Paid. Those Who Leave In April Will Pay The Fees For May And June As Well.
  • A Fee Of Rs. 100/- Will Be Charged For A Transfer Certificate And This Will Be Issued Only Three Days After The Receipt Of The Application.
  • The Issue Of T.C. Implies That All Dues To And From The School Are Completely Cleared.
  • A Student Who Wishes To Discontinue During The Academic Session Should Pay The Full Fees Of The Particular Quarter While Applying For T. C.
  • Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds :
    1. Disciplinary
    2. Unsatisfactory Progress in Work.
    3. Detention or Repeated Detention in a class.
General Rules :-
  • All Students Should Be Present In School On The Opening Day Of Each Term.
  • Irregular Attendance, Unjustified Absence Or Objectionable Moral Behavior Justify Dismissal If A Student Is Absent For Fifteen Consecutive Days Without. An Application, Or For Three Days At The Beginning Of A Term, His/Her Name May Be Struck-Off The Rolls.
  • Every Absence Has To Be Intimated To The Principal Immediately With An Application Duly Signed By The Parent.No Student Who Has Been Absent From School Or Is Late Will Be Admitted Into Class Without The Signed Permission Of The Principal.
  • All Students Are Expected to Line up in Silence for the Assembly at the Sound of the First Bell. Assembly is the most important part of the school day. Every student should be present at it to begin the day with prayer to God and to listen to the announcements and instructions of the principal.
  • No Books Other Than Required Text Books, Maybe Brought To School. No Student Should Bring To The School Any Objectionable Articles; Electronic Goods, Such As Camera, Tape Recorder, Knives, Weapons, Crackers, Explosive Sets. The Offenders Are Liable To Be Dismissed Or Rusticated From The School and the confiscated goods will not returned. The decision of the school authorities is binding at all.
  • No Student Should Leave The School Premises During Class Hours Without The Knowledge And Permission Of The Principal.
  • Any Damage To School Property Will Have To Be Made Good. The Decision Of The Principal Regarding The Amount Is Final.
  • The School Is Not Responsible For Goods Lost. Students Should Not Carry Or Wear Valuable Articles Including Rings And Fancy Watches When Coming To School. Students Are Liable To Serious Disciplinary Action For Stealing Or Damaging The Articles Of Others.
  • No Student Suffering From A Contagious Or Infectious Disease Will Be Permitted To Attend School. After Recovery A Fitness Certificate Is To Be Submitted.
  • During School Hours, Students Are Not Allowed To Receive Visitors Or Make Phone Calls Or To Answer A Phone Call. If The Matter Is Very Urgent, The Message Will Be Given.
  • No Student Should Remain In The Classroom During P.T. Or Games Period Unless Permitted By The Principal.
  • Any Student Desiring To Be Exempted From P.T. Or Games Must Produce A Doctor`S Certificate To The Effect That He/She Is Physically Unfit To Take Part.
  • All Students Should Be Habitually Clean And Always Neatly Dressed. They Are Expected To Come In Uniform Everyday.
  • Students Must Come To Class With The Lessons Well Prepared And The Home Work Completed.
  • The School Diary Should Be Brought To The School Daily.
  • Running, Playing And Shouting Inside The School Building In Never Allowed.
  • When Students Move Along Verandahs To Other Class Rooms, They Must Walk In Silence And In Single Line. They Should Always Keep To The Left As Far As Possible.
  • Students Should Be Particularly Careful Not To Throw Paper Or Fruit Peels Anywhere In The School Premises. They Should Use The Bins Especially Provided For That Purpose.
  • Students Are Responsible To The School Authorities Not Only For Their Conduct In School But Also For Their General Behavior Outside. Any Reported Or Observed Objectionable Conduct Out Of School Shall Make Them Liable To Disciplinary Action.
  • Students Are Not Allowed To Enter A Classroom Other Than Their Own.
  • Articles Found In School Or On Its Premises Are To Be Handed Over To The Office.
  • Parents Send Their Children To This School So That They May Be Proficient Both In Hindi And English. In The School Premises, All Are Expected To Speak Only In English.
  • Students Should At All Cost Avoid Writing, Carving And Scratching On The Walls And Furniture. Such Habits Are Detrimental To Good Education And A Sign Of Low Taste.
  • Principal`S Permission Is Required:
    1. To make a collection for any purpose whatever.
    2. To arrange for a party, picnic or meeting.
    3. To join a sports meet or to play a game not arranged by the school.
    4. To give presents to teachers or stage displays in their honor.
    5. To arrange for private tuition from the school teachers.
  • We Expect You :
    1. To be polite, friendly and well-behaved in and outside the school.
    2. To be honest and truthful, whatever may be the cost.
    3. To accept cheerfully every work and responsibility given, and to face difficulties with courage and determination.
    4. To be courteous and sportsmanlike on the playground with opposing teams and with the officials.
    5. To wish your parents, teachers, elders whenever you meet them.
    6. To respect your own property as well as of the school and also property belonging to others.
    7. To be bold enough to say `No` when asked to do a thing which you know to be wrong.
Recommendations to Parents :-
  • The Very First Condition Of Admission Is That Parents/Guardians Will Comply Strictly With The Terms And Rules Herein Stated And Pay By The Due Date The Tuition Fees And All Other Charges.
  • It is the responsibilities of the parents to see that their wards reach the school and back home safely.

  • Politeness, Courtesy Of Speech And Conduct, Cleanliness In Dress And Person Should Be Inculcated.
  • Leave For Absence May Be Granted For A Sufficient Reason, But Only On An Application From The Parent Or Guardian. This Must Be Made In Advance Whenever Possible. The Absence And Leave Record Sheet Given At The End Of This Diary Must Be Made Use Of.
  • Any Communication (Request Or Complaint) Made By A Parent Should Be Addressed To The Principal And Not To The Class Teacher. When Thus Communicating With The Principal, Parents Are Requested To Mention In Their Letter The Name And The Class With Section Of Their Child.
  • No Visitors (Parents Or Others) Are Allowed To See The Students Or Interview Their Teachers During Class Hours.
  • Parents Are Also Requested Not To Visit Classes During Class Hours. All Business Will Be Transacted In The Office.
  • Parents Are Requested Not To Take Their Children During Class Hours Except In A Case Of Emergency.

  • Parents Must Realize That The Parents-Teachers Meetings Are Very Important And They Should Attend Regularly.
  • The Principal Reserves The Right To Inflict Punishment Upon Students, Either Corporal Or Otherwise, As He May Deem Necessary.
  • Students Must Not Keep Much Cash With Them When They Come To School. Such A Habit Is Harmful. Please Check Them From This.
  • Small Children Should Not Be Entrusted With Payment Of Fees.
  • Students Should Not Carry Or Wear Valuable Articles Including Rings And Fancy Watches When Coming To School. A fashionable hairstyle is not entertained. Keep hair short and simple.
  • Only the children up to class V may wear a casual dress on the day of their birthday. (A reasonable good dress like that of the school uniform).
  • We Welcome Constructive Criticism, We Feel Happy When Parents Take Interest In The Welfare Of The Institution And Give Feedback For Improvement.
  • Your child’s school is required by law to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment. To do that, it has a school code with the rules of behavior. The rules might include things like no obscene language, no hitting other children and no disrupting the class.
  • All students, including those with learning and attention issues, must follow school rules. If students break the rules, the school has responsibilities to do so.
  • The School is not responsible for the conveyance. It is the duty of the Parents to reach the child and take back after the school hours.
Examination And Promotion :-
  1. Examinations And Tests Enable Parents To Know The Progress Of Their Children And Pay Due Attention To Their Studies At Home.
  2. There Will Be Two Examinations Of Students To Register Their Progress: Half-Yearly And Annual.
  3. Besides These Terminal Examinations, There May Also Be Monthly Tests Which Are Compulsory. Any Leave Application On Medical Grounds During The Examination Period Has To Be Submitted Before Or On The Day Of The Examination. Any Such Application Coming On A Later Date Will Not Be Accepted.
  4. Promotion To The Next Class Will Be Made On The Basis Of The Average Of Marks Obtained In Half-Yearly, Unit Tests And Annual Examination.

  5. The pass mark for each subject is 33% upto class X and 35% for XI & XII.
  6. For promotion, a student must obtain pass percentage in atleast five major subjects which must include the subject English.
  7. A student who, for reasons accepted by the principal, is not able to appear for the Half-yearly, has to appear for the Annual and his/her result is based on this examination.
  8. A student who does not appear for Half-yearly as well as Annual examination will not be promoted.
  9. Students whose attendance is below 75% of the working days may not be eligible to appear for the Annual Examination.

    Minimum attendance Requirement for students of class IX to XII

    • Candidates whose attendance is below 75% of the working days are ordinarily not eligible to sit for the examination. However, the Chief Executive and Secretary have the authority to condone the shortage of attendance in the case of candidates whose minimum attendance is not less than 60% of the working days in each year of the two-year course. This is inclusive of absence due to illness and other special circumstances. Heads of Schools may represent, to the Chief Executive and Secretary, cases of candidates who deserve special consideration for condonation of shortage of attendance in Class IX, X, XI & XII, provided that the attendance of such candidates is not less than 60% of the working days, during each year of the two year ICSE or ISC course.

  10. A student who gives or obtains unfair assistance at an examination will be debarred for the rest of the examinations and will get a zero in that paper. Such a student may be detained in the same class or dismissed from the school.
  11. A student who fails twice in the same class will be asked to leave the school.
  12. Classes for class XI will begin in April. The admission and division of group will be based on a student’s performance in Half Yearly, Unit Tests and Preliminary Examinations of class X as well as the conduct record of the student during the years in the school.
  13. A student of class XI who does not achieve the pass percentage in the total evaluation of the year will not be permitted to be a regular student next year in the same class. However, he/ she may be permitted to appear for the final examination at the end of that year at the discretion of the Principal. On passing in that examination, he/she may be admitted to the higher class (XII) as a regular student once again, in which case his/her attendance of class XI will be accounted for.
  14. Answer books of Half-yearly examinations are shown to the students. Answer books of Annual Examinations are not shown. The result declared at the end of the year is final and not subject to reconsideration.
  15. The school does not undertake to retain answer scripts Projects of students for more than 60 days after the results are declared.
  16. A failed student forfeits all claims to the concession in school fees.
  17. The decision of the school authorities on results shall be final and in no case shall lie in any court of law in respect of their decision.
  18. During the half-yearly examination – evaluation period the entire question paper will be solved by the students in their respective copies.
  19. Passing in Moral Science is compulsory for promotion. 50% of the Moral Science marks are reserved with the Class teachers for the behavior and discipline of the student in the school. Rest, for the performance in the written examination.
  20. All project works for classes IX to XII should be submitted before the 10th of July. All defaulters will get zero in the subject.
Library Rules :-
  1. Students should keep in mind that “Reading maketh a full man”. Students should develop the habit of reading books systematically and thoughtfully.
  2. Silence should be maintained in the library except on business with the librarian. This also should be done in a low voice.
  3. Students may borrow one book at a time for a period up to one week from the library. Any book not required by another person may be re-issued for a further week.
  4. Certain books, magazines, etc. are available for reference in the library only. They are not to be taken home.
  5. Books, periodicals, magazines, etc. should be treated with care, both in and out of the library. No writing, inkblots, torn pages, marks and lines in books, are tolerated.
  6. Books are issued on the understanding that they are only to be read by persons to whom they are issued and are not given to others whether of school or to outsiders.
  7. Any student who breaks the above rules will have to pay a fine or cost of the lost and damaged books.
Laboratory Rules :-
  1. Students must wear lab coat (white overall) in the laboratory.
  2. Perfect silence in the laboratory is essential for concentration and successful scientific work.
  3. Keep your table, apparatus and note-book neat and clean.
  4. Add reagents in proportionate amounts, this gives the right result and key to success.
  5. Keep the reagents in their respective places, do not change the stoppers of the bottles.
  6. Avoid shifting the bottles from the common shelf.
  7. Use the waste box for throwing broken glass pieces, match sticks, filter paper, etc. and do not throw them in the sink
  8. Shake the test tubes while heating, do not throw hot and concentrated acids, specially conc. sulphuric acid.
  9. Pass hydrogen sulphide gas slowly in the solution, it is a very poisonous gas, do not leave the gas stopper open.
  10. Any damage to lab apparatus/equipments will have to be made good.
Computer Lab Rules :-
  1. Take off shoes before entering Computer Lab.
  2. Wipe off feet at doormat before entering the Computer Lab.
  3. Bringing outside Floppy, C.D., Pen Drive is prohibited.
  4. Unless and until needed, do not boot any system in the lab.
  5. Don’t move or shift the V.D.U. from its position.
  6. Always insert the disk properly in the disk drive before closing its drive door.
  7. Do not play with computer peripheral & wires.
  8. Do not scribble on the machine casing, wires and tables.
  9. Do not play with keyboard.
  10. Always come with your group.
  11. Do not bang the key, press them softly.
  12. Always open and close the lab’s door as instructed.
  13. If anyone found misusing or playing with any computer peripherals he/she will be liable to pay a heavy penalty.
  14. Computer Application/Computer Science is one of the subjects available for ICSE and ISC Level on merit/test basis respectively.
School Fee :-
  1. Fees are taken monthly. However, fees for the entire year or for the term may be paid together.
  2. Fees should be paid by the date mentioned on the fee card, a late fee of Rs. 100 per month will be charged.
  3. If fees are not paid for two consecutive months the name will be struck off the rolls and if the Student wants to continue, Re-admission fee (Rs. 5000/-) will be charged.

  5. In September & December Terminal Fee has to be paid.
  6. Fees of April, May and June must be paid before the school closes for the summer vacation.
  7. Students, whose fees are not cleared fully will not be allowed to appear for the examinations.
  8. No exemption or reduction in fees will be made on account of any holiday, late admission, or absence for any cause.
  9. While applying for T. C., Fee Card should be produced.
  10. School fees once paid will not be refunded in any case.
  11. For the loss of the Fee Card Rs. 100/- will be charged.

  • Parents are requested to send their children to school, tidily dressed, wearing the school uniform. If the children fail to wear the uniform, they will not be allowed to enter their class.

  • GIRLS : Maroon V-neck sweater, with stripes on the border and blazer along with school monogram and maroon scarf or cap.

  • SATURDAY UNIFORM (P.T. UNIFORM)
  • GIRLS : White skirt, House T-shirt and white P.T. shoes and white socks. Class IX- XII will have white Salwar Suit with white dupatta and white P.T. shoes.
  • BOYS : White shirt, white full pants and white P.T. shoes and white socks.
House System :-
  1. There are (4) houses in School- Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. Each student, on admission, is placed in one of these houses.
  2. Each House is headed by one boy and one girl known as House Captain. A member of the staff assisted by several other teachers help the HouseMaster. Points are awarded to the student throughout the year for co-curricular activities, games, and sports. At the end of the year, the House gaining the highest number of points is awarded the Best House Trophy.
  3. Every outstanding student is given a certificate.
Use of Two Wheelers / Cycles :-
  • As per the traffic regulations and criteria set for driving vehicles, you are requested to observe the following information’s.
    1. Below 16 years of age are not allowed to drive vehicle, hence students of this age group should not bring vehicles to school.
    2. From the age of 16 to 18 years are allowed to drive only vehicle without gears.
    3. From the age of 18 years and above are allowed to drive vehicles with gears.
    4. Students bringing vehicles who are above 16 years should have a valid driving license and wear a helmet.
    5. Students of class IV below should not come by cycle.
    6. Cycle stand facilities are available. Students coming by bicycle and those who are eligible with proper driving license come by scooty/motorcycle are requested to keep them locked in the stand provided and must pay the prescribed charges (Cycle Rs. 500/- & Moped & Scooty Rs. 1000/-) for the entire year and obtain pass from the fee counter in April. The pass has to be brought to the school every day. Those coming by two-wheelers should wear a helmet.
Health Care of School Children :-
  1. Your child’s health is the concern of the school. Thus our health plan in collaboration with St. Mary’s Hospital, is drawn up for one scholastic year.
  2. The plan covers the following :
    1. Annual health check-up for every student in the school itself.
    2. Each student will have a health card.
    3. Medical instructions will be arranged by medical personnel on various aspects of health – nutrition, personal hygiene, care of the eyes, teeth etc.
    4. A student, whether outpatient or in-patient, at St. Mary’s Hospital will be charged half the usual charges, for bed and investigations prescribed by any department of the Hospital.
    5. A booklet on guidelines regarding management of common illnesses will be provided to all the school children.
  3. Every student pays Rs 100/- per year for the health care.
Guidelines to Parents to Keep Their Children Healthy :-
  1. All parents are required to impart Health Education to their children so that they
    1. Maintain personal hygiene like trimming of nails and being neat on a regular basis.
    2. Should exercise regularly.
    3. Sleep for at least eight hours daily.
    4. Have a balanced diet, nutritionally rich in protein and milk.
    5. Drink water which is either boiled or filtered. (All students are advised to bring their own water bottles from home).
    6. Avoid consumption of ice-creams, other milk products and eatables from road side vendors.
  2. Deworm all children at least once every year. Advice to be taken from the family physician.
  3. Get dental and ophthalmic check up every year.
  4. Immunize all children as per schedule given below
    1. BCG (Basillus of Calmette and Guerin)
    2. DPT (Diptheria Pertussis Tetnus)
    3. Oral Polio
    4. Measles/MMR (Mumps Measless Rubella)
    5. DT-at 5 years of age (Diptheria Tetnus)
    6. Tetanus-Booster does to be given between 7-16 year of age and also to be given if injured.
    7. Typhoid once every year preferably.
    8. Cholera in the month of March.
    9. Meningitis
  5. Should there be any infectious disease in your home please report the fact to the Principal/Headmistress at once and do not send your ward to school till the infectious period is over.
  6. Students suffering from diseases such as Chicken-Pox, Cholera, Measles, Mumps, Whooping Cough and Jaundice must observe doctors prescribed period of Quarantine.
  7. Students suffering from infectious diseases like conjunctive Dermatitis, Scabies etc. should not be sent to school.
  8. Students suffering from chronic diseases like Asthma, Epilepsy, and Rheumatic Heart Disease etc. are advised to be under continuous Medial Supervision of a specialist Doctor. History of their illness must be filled up in the School Diary alongwith the treatment being taken..
